After https://www.nasa.govan NDE , in the realization that I had just survived a brush with death in nearly dying from hypothermia, I began to consider what things truly matter in "being alive."
Which priorities truly matter in the longer term, and what I want to leave behind for new generations.
The Tsunami in Japan alarmed me and everyone else as radioactive waste spilled by tens of thousands of gallons into the Pacific Ocean. No one knowing how horrible this event would become.
I had just successfully cross pollinated two kinds of squash, and was excited about the next year's seeds. Such a simple thrill.
Then it occurred to me that our planet was actually in peril. It would be far more difficult than cross pollinated squash to fix.
I relocated and began getting ready for college classes. In the middle of the night, I awakened from a dream with a design idea for a new life sustaining interplanetary space station stuck in my head. I could envision the finished project, but had nothing to build such a thing in my new studio. .

my space design became clearer in my mind; I sent another several letters updating my original idea to NASA. It seems saving a part of humanity, if our planet becomes uninhabitable is as important now as DaVinci' creating a helicopter design.
Von Braun thought of what a ship in space could be . It was never completed. Our knowledge of space was not advanced enough to even begin that design.
In high school my Mechanical Reasoning Tests were the highest scores of any female student in the school.
So in order to demonstrate my design concept to NASA I used the photographic assembly process with existing functional machines arranged differently to create the ship design.
Being a 1 in 40 women with a specific red green color deficit I cannot create a wiring system for this NASA project.
I have been blessed to meet millions of people along the way who can become experts in wiring technology.
Though I may not see this design completed in my lifetime, a remnant of humanity will.
